my name is xueyun-cecilia, but you can call me xue
I reside in Brooklyn, but hail from Detroit, Michigan. Ever since I was little I’ve loved art and design; from putting on performances in my living room, making hand lettered lyric posters, and running a SuperWhoLock edit account in middle school, I’ve dabbled in all sorts of expression.
In university, I studied graphic design and theatre, and earned both a BFA and BA degree.
Besides graphic design and theatre, I also enjoy painting, pastels, writing, collaging, crayons, and drawing. I like to pick what medium to work with based on emotion and instinct. In a professional setting, I find that my experience with such a wide variety of mediums helps me to solve design problems and makes me more adaptable.
I’m grateful for my exposure to such a wide variety of mediums. I believe the world is a better place when people can express themselves through art. Emotion and experience are the best sources of inspiration; it’s my goal to synthesize these feelings with my artistic practice.
